Benjamin Patrick Welch was born November 20, 1982, in Montgomery, AL, the son of Bill & Angela Romine Welch. He was a graduate of Foley High School and earned an associate degree. Bainbridge became home nineteen years ago, though Orange Beach was always in his heart. Benjamin was a member of First Baptist Church.
Benjamin was a sports fanatic. He lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He was an ace pitcher reveling in every strike out. Alabama football and his TKE fraternity brothers made Saturdays in the SEC memorable events. Benjamin loved children and his nieces & nephews dubbed him the fun uncle. Casting a line reminded his fishing partners that he was still at home in the strike zone.
Survivors include his parents; his siblings, Ryan Welch Anderson (Hank), William Andrew Welch, Jr. (Mandy), Samuel Preston Welch (Jessie), and Kate Welch Rowe (Rhett); and thirteen nieces and nephews.
