Obituary
Benjamin Raynordo Wilson aka "Ben & Poppa" was born on September 30, 1967, in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the local schools of Duval County, graduating in 1985 from Jean Ribault High School, where he was an active member of the band. Benjamin accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a young age, becoming a member of Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church.
After graduating Benjamin joined the United States Military as a member of the Air Force. Once his military duties were completed, he was employed with Southwest Airlines of Dallas, Texas. Ben had a passion for cooking and pursue it by attending culinary school and successfully obtained his Chef Certificate of Completion.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Ray Wilson, Sr.; brother, Benjamin Ray Wilson, Jr.; grandparents, Margaret Johnson, Moses Johnson, Sr. and Willie and Lottie M. Wilson; uncles, Arthur Barfield, Moses Johnson, Jr., Charles Wilson, Leonard Wilson, Sr., David M. Wilson, Sr., and Clarence Wilson; aunts, Phyllis Johnson and Doretha Wilson-Flood.
Benjamin leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Stefonia D. Wilson and Briona J. Wilson; loving devoted mother, Doralice J. Upson; brother, Azikiwe Dean Wilson (Shelia); nieces, Sierra Wilson and Cheyenne Wilson; aunts, Dorothy Barfield and Barbara J, Burch; uncles, Michael Scippio (Tanisa), Robert Wilson, and Sidney Wilson (Gina); godmothers, Barbara Paulk and Pastor Williams; loyal friend; Dermont Miles(Asilia); and a host of loving relatives and friends.
