Bennie R. "Ben" Plum, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2025.
Ben was born August 9, 1962 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the Class of 1980 and worked nearly 40 years at the Union Pacific Railroad. Ben and his wife owned and operated Metro Paintball Games for 7 years. Ben had a love of riding and racing motorcycles, and mountain climbing on his side-by-side.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, John Plum; his mother, Harriet Saar; sister, Pamela Plum; grandparents, Ben and Ethel, Granny Henderson and Roy and May Caputo; uncle, Mike Cowlham; sister-in-law, Loretta Reed-Poffenbarger.
Ben is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tracy Plum, and her loving parents, Bob and Ardie Caputo; sons, Robert Plum, Ross (Cassie) Plum and Travis (Becky) Burns; grandchildren, Ellie, Grascie, Ross, Rosalee, Nathan, Travis and Emily; sister, Sherry Collins; uncles, Larry Poffenbarger and Dennis Caputo; aunt, Bertie Cowlham; sisters-in-law, Teri (Kelly) Kirk and Teg (Jay) Christians; brother-in-law, Jeff Poffenbarger; cousins, Alan and Tedette Ellis and Arlen and Kathy Ellis; nieces, nephews and cousins; extended special family members and friends, Chris and Kristy Schulz, Randy and Donna Carlson, Brian Rose, Michael Kramer, Mrs. MJ Miller, Louie and Laura LeRette, Damien and Angela Shull, Ted and Nikki Roberts, Bill and Sharon Phillips, Steve and Elizabeth Bakunas, Kenny Carden, Tommy and Cory O'Connell.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2025 with Memorial Service to be held immediately following at 2:00 PM. The family will direct memorials.
