Bernadette Claire "Toni" Wilkerson, 81, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Valentine's Day in 1944 to the late Raymond Valentine and Alberta Beatrice Tonne.
Toni's love for her church and commitment to her faith were evident in her active membership at Pleasant Ridge Church of God. She was a vibrant spirit with a servant's heart, easygoing nature, and exceptional ability to foster peace among her. Her love for family was paramount; she took great joy in organizing family get-togethers, where laughter and love flourished. Whether it was playing cards or enjoying a spirited game of Crazy 8, her home was a sanctuary for those she held dear.
Toni's adventurous spirit shone through in many of her activities with her daughter, Charity. The two shared a special bond, often exploring thrift stores and yard sales for hidden treasures. They also delighted in visiting Wonder Whip, where they would enjoy delicious ice cream shakes together, creating many of their fondest memories.
In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her husband, William Wilkerson; first husband, Lonnie Louden; daughter, Alberta Catherine Johnson; grandson, Christopher Head; brothers, Bill Tonne, Gene Tonne, Johnny Joe Tonne, Bobby Tonne, and Chuck Tonne; sisters, Mary Catherine Dawson, Teresa Jackson, and Patsy Riddle.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, William "Bill" Louden (Cindy), Lena Fulkerson (Joe) and Charity Louden; grandchildren, William "Billy" Louden Jr., Justin Louden, Latisha Fulkerson, Edgar Meyer, Joey Meyer, Kaleb Fulkerson, Jessica Wilce, Justin McFarland, Corey Hunt, Myles Wilkerson and Megan Wilkerson; 18 great grandchildren in addition to, Gavin Louden, Ryan McCarty Haley Louden, Justin Louden Jr., Dalton Louden, Nathan Louden and Ashton Louden; and one great-great grandchild, Aaliyah Louden.
The funeral service for Toni will be at 2 PM on Friday, October 10, at Pleasant Ridge Church of God. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
