Bernadine B Jablonski

Bernadine "Bernie" Jablonski (nee Zbiegien), age 98, of Willowick, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Born on May 20, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bernie lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family, heritage, and community.
Bernie deeply cherished her Polish heritage and found joy in sharing her culture with those she loved. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she embraced every moment spent with them. Bernie's life was enriched by the many friendships she nurtured throughout the years. She had a special place in her heart for her flower garden, where she found peace among the blooms she so lovingly cared for. Her travels to Poland were a highlight of her life, where she joyfully reunited with family and friends, further strengthening her bonds to her roots.
Bernie's days began with a hot cup of coffee, a comforting ritual that signaled the start of another day to enjoy life's simple pleasures. She found joy in the small things, like visiting tea rooms and taking part in senior citizen bus trips, where she formed lasting memories with fellow travelers.
She was the beloved mother of Christine Gattozzi, Maribeth (Al) Grablovic, and Paul (Karen) Jablonski. Cherished grandmother of Robyn Gattozzi, Alan A. Grablovic, Brian Gattozzi, Rachel Brookman, Lucas Jablonski, Elizabeth Jablonski, and Shane Jablonski. Bernie was also the proud great-grandmother of eight. She leaves behind her siblings, Michael Zbiegien, Steve Zbiegien, and Richard Zbiegien, along with many nieces and nephews, with whom she shared a special and cherished bond.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Casimir, her parents, Michael and Maryanna Zbiegien (nee Bober), and her brother, Frank Zbiegien.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Abbey of Willoughby, located at 38011 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio, on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bernie's name to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Bernie will be remembered for her unwavering love, her warm heart, and her enduring spirit. May she rest in peace, forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
