Bernard "Bernie" P. Audet, age 91, Biloxi, MS passed into Eternal Life, September 17, 2024 while under the loving and supportive care of the Biloxi VA Hospice Team.

Born November 23, 1932, to Philippe J Audet and Albina (Leblanc) Audet, the youngest of 11 children. Bernie attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Fitchburg, MA, and carried with him fond memories of the French Nuns and Priests who provided his formal education. Falling in love with the "most beautiful woman in the world" Wanda June, Bernie married Wanda, and thought the 60 years together was too short, grieving the loss of his bride for the past 9 years. Bernie enjoyed golf, basketball, baseball, thought it was volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Fatima Parish that he used to talk about most. Bernie loved being married to Wanda, Bernie loved being Dad to his 6 children. Bernie loved greeting everyone with a smile and a wave. After high school, Bernie joined the Army and spent 3 years as a paratrooper, making 35 jumps "because it was fun". Bernie joined the Air Force, spending 17 years, as a crew chief Bernie was proud of his name being stenciled on the fuselage of the various aircraft. Bernie flew with SAC, MAC, eventually taking him to Vietnam where he would discharge proudly serving 20 years in the Armed Forces.

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his loving wife, Wanda. He is survived by his 6 children: Regina, Denise, Joseph, Patrice, Maryvonne and Philip; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 siblings.

Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi. A brief viewing will precede the Mass. Internment will take place in California alongside his bride Wanda.

If you would want to help St. Vincent de Paul feed the hungry, clothe the naked, provide a foundation from which to rebuild a person's life: please consider either volunteering or donating materials or funds.
