Bernard Jesse Might, 83, Pomeroy, passed away Thursday May 29, 2025, at Encompass Health
And Rehabilitation Hospital, Vienna, WV.
He was born August 11, 1941, in Gallia County, the son of the late Raymond and Cora
Robertson Might. He worked at Southern Ohio Coal Co, Mine #31 for 28 years, as a mine
Roof bolter operator, a brother in United Mine Workers of America, District 17, Local Union 1957.
He loved beagle dogs and a Teddy Bear dog, Josie. He also loved gardening, especially
Strawberries and blackberries. He had a love of old country music, especially steel
Guitars. His most important love was helping people.
He is survived by his wife Sherrie, nieces Sandy (James) Garey, Amy (Greg) Miller,
Nephew Randy Might. a sister-in-law Lanna Goode; special friends Terry and
Barbara Lewis, Ed and Janet Venoy, Etta Wise, a special cousin Clarence (Jessie) Might.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece Rachel Garey,
Great-niece Kiersten Fitch, and brother Clair, mother-in-law and father-in-law Anna E. and
Ralph Turner, brother-in-law Bob Goode, niece and nephew Robby and Colleen Goode.
Visitation will be Saturday June 21, 2025, at 11 am to 1 pm. with a Memorial Service
at 1 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, Ohio.
