Hursh, Bessie L. - of Montrose, age 94, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Hurley Medical Center surrounded by her 5 children. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial to follow at Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 11AM until time of service.
Bessie was born November 26, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leonard and Harriett Davis. On July 29, 1950 Bessie married Robert, they enjoyed 72 years together until his death in 2023. Bessie's life, spirit, and legacy can be described within the book of Galatians, chapter 5, verses 22-23. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23. Gentleness and self control. Bessie was a living example of this scripture. She was a loving, caring and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Bessie received the truest form of love, kindness and grace. The seeds of Bessie's fruit have spread throughout her family beyond her children and grandchildren. Bessie's loving, joyful, patient and kind spirit will continue to make an impact beyond generations.
Surviving are: Children: Beverly Stevens, Brenda (Fred) Goebert, Bonnie (Mark) Wielock, Barbara Hursh, Robert Hursh Jr.: Grandchildren: Nathan (Marybeth) Stevens, Mark ( Christy) Stevens, Timothy (Nicole) Stevens, Lisa Stevens (Brian Wallace), Amy (Kerry) Webb, Bryan (Amy) Goebert, Chad (Dayna) Goebert, Jacob (Samantha) Wielock, Autumn (Eric) Thurston, Haleigh (John) Sprouse, Caleb (Ashley) Wielock, Robert (Mallory) Hursh, Seth (Lara) Hursh, 41 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren,: brothers Calvin and Earl Davis,: sister-in laws Janet, Bertha and Alice and loving friend Becky She was proceeded in death by son-in-law, Kenneth Stevens and 13 siblings.
