Bettie Lou Cooper, 87 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Lawrence and Isabelle (Kenyon) Norris she was born on January 27, 1938 in Sears, MI. Bettie was a 1956 graduate of Evart High School. On November 25, 1961, Bettie married the love of her life Leon at the Community Methodist Church in Evart, MI. Together they spent 57 years until Leon's passing on January 5, 2019. Bettie enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, was a big fan of Elvis Presley but most of all she loved being a grandma.
Bettie is survived by her sons, Lloyd Cooper and Lorin (Tamara) Cooper; granddaughters, Lori (Demetri) and Lila Cooper; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Evangeline Fisher and Elizabeth Prowant and brother, Larry Norris.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leon; brothers, Gordon and William Norris; daughter-in-law, Kimina Cooper. Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI. where the funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.bedfordfuneralchapel.com.
Corey Funeral Home has been entrusted for the final disposition. Bettie will be laid to rest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17th at Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart, MI.
