Betty R. (Oakwood) Blaylock age 86 passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025. Betty was born on April 18, 1939 in Spencer, TN to the late Lewis and Lula Mae Oakwood. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse William Roe Blaylock, sons Leroy Blaylock and Benjamin Blaylock, grandchildren Chelsey Rose Blaylock Haney and Stephen Blaylock, brothers Lewis W. Oakwood and Charles Oakwood, sisters Anna Neely, Daisy Bell, and Nancy Prince. Betty is survived by her sons Charles E Blaylock, John P Blaylock (Stephanie), daughters Kathy Nickels, Louvenia Kimbrel "Peanut" (George), Betty Brandon (Thurman), brother Johnny R. Blaylock, sister Stella Curbow, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grand- children. Betty loved to spend her time reading and completing puzzles, playing on the computer, and loved spending her time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a hobby of collecting bears & salt and pepper shakers. Visitation for Betty will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Monday April 28, 2025, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00pm and the internment will follow at Fredonia Cemetery in Manchester. Pall Bearers include: Tony Tomason, John Blaylock, Cody Blaylock, Ray Haney, Shawn Nickles and Caleb Brandon. Manchester Funeral Home is honored to serve the Blaylock family.
