Betty Lee (Johnson) Englum, age 95 of Paris, Illinois passed away at 8:20 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Horizon Health.

No services are planned at this time. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born on February 4, 1930 in LaPorte, Indiana to Jess Robert and Martha Levon (Cummins) Johnson. She married John William Englum, he preceded her in death.

Betty was the owner and hairstylist of a salon for several years and was also the owner of Palm Club Bar/Tavern. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a woman who lived life on her own terms. She was an active gardener until recently, with the intention of sharing her produce with whoever needed it. She made fudge during the holidays and shared it all over town and baked cookies to share with friends and acquaintances.

She is survived by her son, John Michael Englum and Teresa Lynn (Ramsey) Englum of Paris; her grandchildren: John Douglas Englum, James Matthew Englum, Megan Michelle (Littleton) Englum; her great grandchildren: Anthony, Connor, and Gillian Englum; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings, Robert, Edward, and Larry Johnson, and Wanda (Johnson) Walls.
