Betty J. (Martin) Gorsuch, 91, of Petersburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her residence. Born November 8, 1933 in Julian, Centre County, she was a daughter of the late Wilson Raymond Martin and Emma (Snook) Martin. She was united in marriage to Ray W. Gorsuch, Sr. on March 20, 1953. Mr. Gorsuch preceded her in death on November 30, 1984. She is survived by six children, Ray Gorsuch, Jr. and companion, Edith Kennedy, of Philipsburg, Ron Gorsuch and wife, Sue, of Alexandria, Roger Gorsuch and wife, Tandy, of Tennessee, Dorothy Gorsuch of Washington, Donna (Gorsuch) Hoffmaster of Huntingdon, and Denise (Gorsuch) McLaurin, of Huntingdon; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Anna (Martin) Haines of Julian; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah K. (Gorsuch) Ray; a son, Rick Gorsuch; a grandson and a great-grandson; as well as, five brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Gorsuch was of the Evangelical United Brethren faith. She attended the Julian Elementary School and Port Matilda High School. After her children were grown, Mrs. Gorsuch was employed in Housekeeping at The Fairways at Brookline, State College, until her retirement in 1993. She loved playing the organ and guitar, was an avid gameshow watcher and card player, and enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. She was particularly fond of her beloved cat, Cali. At the request of Mrs. Gorsuch, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Lou Zannino officiating. Private interment will be in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Betty J.
