Born in Bridgeton to the late Roy MacMullen and Jennie Burton, she had been the wife of the late William E. Knipe, Jr. Betty Jane had been a resident of Bridgeton most of her life. She was the owner and operator of Petra Christian Preschool in Bridgeton for many years. She enjoyed watching tv and loved playing the organ and piano. She also had a deep affection for animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by; her daughters, Mary Jane Bacon (Tom) of Vineland and Shirley Lambert of Maryland; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her husband, William E. Knipe, Jr.; parents, Roy and Jennie MacMullen; brother, Billy Husted; daughter, Linda Hill; and granddaughter, Ashley Lynch.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place privately at Overlook Cemetery.
