Betty Nichols Beadle Decker Obituary

Betty Louise Nichols Beadle Decker, 91, of Woodstock, VA passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00am at Woodstock United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Reverend Todd Gess will officiate. Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12:30pm at Quantico National Cemetery.
Mrs. Decker was born October 28, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Lesley and Elizabeth Nichols. She was an active member of the Woodstock United Methodist Church and served on the kitchen and tape/visitation committee for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lesley and Elizabeth Nichols; brothers, Lawrence, Lee, and Bobby Nichols; son in law, Gregory Reese; and grandson, Mitchel Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William L. Decker Sr. whom she married on April 20, 1985; children, Sharon Reese, Barry Beadle (Cindi), Leslie Helton (Jeff), Rosie Garant (Craig), John Beadle Jr., and Bill Decker Jr; grandchildren, Michael Reese, Bonnie Line, Daniel Reese, Lt. Bradlee (Pickett) Garant, Elizabeth Singleton, Kayla Holliday, Zakia; great grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Colby, Jakob, Mason, Spener, Cooper, Sierra, Mckenzie, Kayce; and great-great grandchild, Raelynn.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bread of Life Food Pantry, 1565 South Muhlenberg St. Woodstock, VA 22554 (woodstockumc.us) or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St. Suite 405 Winchester, VA 22601 (brhospice.org).
