Betty Ann (Law) Thalman, 93, of Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1931 in Left Hand, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Vineyard) Law. She was the loving wife of the late August M. Thalman, Jr., who passed away on December 30, 2019. Betty was a loving mother to her children. She continued to nurture and care for her grandchildren and helped to raise them while their parents worked. Betty was also and important partner to her husband, playing a vital role helping him in his ministerial calling. She was the First lady to her husband, August, as he administered the churches he was pastor to. Betty had a love of painting in a ceramics class, which she enjoyed for many years. She is survived by her children, August M. (Toni) Thalman, III. of Elizabeth, Deborah A. (Merrill) Hartz of Newport News, VA., Alene (John) Pastor of Elizabeth Township and Gail (Pastor Jeffrey) Kantz of Apopka, FL.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Allen, Paul and George Law. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11AM at Bethesda United Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth, 314 S. Third Street Elizabeth, PA 15037.
