Steven Bradley Thalman, 71, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, died peacefully on May 22, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to parents George Calvin and Martha Nell Thalman (both deceased). He was also preceded in death by his sister, Julie Ann Campbell and husband John Campbell. He is survived by his brother Timothy Thalman and wife, Paula Thalman.
He graduated from Belmont High School in Dayton, Ohio, in 1973. From there he ventured to Florida with friends but moved back to Dayton a bit before moving to Boulder, Colorado, and working for Head Rackets. It was here he met his wife, Jennifer Davis Thalman, and was married in 1982. Their daughter Erin Meredith Thalman was born here (husband, Michael J. Runge). The family moved back to Virginia Beach where his favorite jobs were with Shaia Rugs and Performance Bikes. Their son Andrew Joseph Thalman was born here. Now there are 5 grandchildren, Ryland, Elijah, Kyle (grandsons), Addeline and Lydia (granddaughters) Runge. There are also many nieces and nephews and their children.
Steve loved his family, his best friend Robert (Thee Bob) Clark, being outdoors and was passionate about cycling. He always wanted to be doing something and getting others to join in. He had a wonderful quiet sense of humor, followed by contagious laughter. His battle with Alzheimer's was devastating and he left this life too soon. He will be missed most dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date to be determined.
