Betty Ann Zemanek (nee Ferry), a longtime resident of Anderson Township, passed away, peacefully on September 6, 2025, at the age of 100. Betty was born February 7, 1925, in Irwin Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruby Ferry and her loving husband of 68 years, Donald H. Zemanek.
Betty and Don have 3 children James (Julie), Janie (Steve Maull), Jeffrey (Teri), 6 wonderful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She never let a holiday, or a birthday go uncelebrated. She was a wonderful cook and always has freshly baked gingersnap cookies ready and waiting for the grandchildren.
She loved to sing. She was a member of the church choir and the Sweet Adelines when the family lived in Omaha. When the family moved to Cincinnati in 1962, she was active in the Mt. Washington Presbyterian church, The Happy Gardner's, Red Hats, and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.
Later in life she and Don purchased a vacation home in Hilton Head, South Carolina and they enjoyed going down there for many years.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, and her loving heart.
Services will be held at T.P. Whites Funeral Home in Mt. Washington, Monday September 15. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM with a Service to follow at 11:00AM. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
