Bettye Lee Littlefield, cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend passed away on September 18th, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 3rd, 1937 to Cale and Pauline Brooks in Post, Texas.

Bettye married the love of her life, Leon 'Tuffy' Littlefield, on December 1st, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in Wolfforth, Texas. Their marriage is a love story for the ages; filled with dancing, love letters, traveling the world, and unconditional love.

Bettye loved her family and was delighted to host for any occasion big or small. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, the warmest smile, and your favorite dish freshly prepared. She poured her heart into everything she did, but especially her cooking. Though she leaves behind many recipes, no one will duplicate her italian cream cake, chocolate pie, crepes, or her ice cream sundaes.

Bettye was an honest business woman. She worked as an insurance agent for many years and ran the family-owned moving business. Later in life, she worked tirelessly alongside her daughter Dawn and granddaughters Tessa and Maddie at TexStar managing finances and being the loving, warm spirit that filled the gym and comforted every athlete and parent she encountered.

She lived her life like Jesus; serving others before thinking of herself, forgiving without questioning, and being a shining light in the dark moments. She shared with her family the importance of having a relationship with God and turning to Him in both times of need and celebration.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Cale and Pauline Brooks.

To carry on her memory of love and joy are her siblings Brenda Mize; Barbara Thomas and her husband Dwight; and her beloved children; Debbie Scroggins; Danny Fortner and his wife Nita; Kim Sandvick; DeeAnn Musgrove and her husband Barry; Dawn Fortner Murphy and her husband Bill; Jerry Littlefield and his wife Sherry; Wesley Littlefield and his wife Samantha; Wendy Pool and her husband Phil; Joey Littlefield and his wife Lindsey; Cherise Littlefield Lansford and her husband Tanner.
