Darrell Jane Hoover, 78, of Lubbock passed away on September 16, 2025. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Agape Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Agape Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

DJ was born on January 16, 1947, in Dover, Delaware to Lee and Francis Morris. She grew up in Childress and attended schools there. DJ worked as a seamstress for Hi-Plains Parachute Company making parachutes. She then worked for Shallowater ISD for 30 years as a maintenance director and a school bus driver. She was also a special education aide for many years. After retirement from school, she worked for Lone Star Auto Auctions for several years before retiring. DJ loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching college football and college basketball and enjoyed playing Bunko with her friend group.

DJ was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dale Jean Hoover.

DJ is survived by her daughter, Traci Cody of Lubbock; her son, Mike Morris of Shallowater; two brothers, Dennis Morris and Donald Morris both of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Kyla Hamilton and husband Cole of Shallowater, Jason Cody and wife Macayla of Lubbock, Courtney Cody of Lubbock, Call Morris of Sudan; and eleven great grandchildren, Brian Warfel, Clara Hamilton, Hannah Hamilton, Collier Hamilton, Hunter Kate Hamilton, Pecos Cody, Austyn Cody, Waylon Cody, Sage Cody, Heidi Cody, and Helen Cody.
