Beulah Lucille (Churchwell) Gay, 97, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on July 4, 2025, with family at her side. Beulah was born July 3, 1928, in Tabler, Oklahoma, and grew up on the family farm in Macomb, Oklahoma. She was one of 17 children born to Luther Columbus Churchwell and Mamie Mary Ethel (Swiger) Churchwell.
Beulah married the love of her life, Donald Gay, on August 21, 1961, in Ada, Oklahoma. They made their home in Shawnee and spent 33 love-filled years together before his passing in November of 1994.
Beulah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Beulah loved to have a neat, tidy well-trimmed yard and liked spending time doing things to keep the yard looking good. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch with her coffee and watching the birds. She also enjoyed watching western shows (especially starring Robert Fuller), and she loved to watch whatever football game that Troy Aikman was the commentator.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Billie Cole; two granddaughters, Christy Musgrove and Sherry Barton; a grandson, Timothy Annanders; all 16 of her siblings: Calie Mae Churchwell, Lillie Ruth Churchwell, Birdie Churchwell, R.L. Churchwell, Floyd Churchwell, Orvil Churchwell, Roy Churchwell, George Churchwell, Lola Brown, Dovie McGaha, Elsie Henderson, Lois Pyle, Willie Mae Troxel, Viola Kirby, Bonnie Whatley, and Eline “Chigger” West.
Beulah is survived by her son, David Annanders (Joan); daughters, Linda Batt (Don) and Donna Seebeck (André Austin); grandchildren: Karri Seebeck (Richard Neeley), Jeff Seebeck (Cheyenne), Matthew Seebeck (Erin), Connie Rickner, Cindy Shirk (Joe), Misty Dyer (Charles), Debra Fowler, Ronda Williams (Jim), David Annanders II, and Ricky Annanders; former son-in-law, Keith Seebeck; several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 2025, 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, 2:30 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
