Beverly Carter Baldwin went to be with the Lord, on Friday, April 4. She was at peace with her loving family present. Beverly was 86 years old and lived a strong wonderful Christian life.

Beverly was born in the Philippine Islands where her father, a career Naval Officer, served prior to WWII. She and her mother moved to Washington, DC before the war began. Beverly graduated from Mt. Vernon Seminary and Jr. College and later she earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut. In 1958 she married Max Baldwin. They have three wonderful caring children; Bryan who lives in Salt Lake City, Elizabeth (Lisi) who resides in the San Francisco Bay area, and Laura (Dubois) whose home is in suburban Boston with her husband, Jeremy and their son, Alistair. Beverly is also survived by her brother, Christopher Lee Carter who resides in Baltimore, MD. Both her father, Beverly E. Carter, and her mother, Josephine Hill Carter are deceased.

Max and Beverly moved a great deal while Max was serving in the Navy and later working for IBM. They raised their family in New Canaan, CT where they resided for 26 years and in 1995 moved to the Landings on Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA. Subsequently, they have lived at the Marshes on Skidaway Island.

Beverly's life was filled with happy moments with family and friends, traveling extensively, participating actively in many sport activities and serving others. An accomplished artist, she also loved dancing and music of all genres. Beverly attended church regularly and was a Bible study discussion leader with Bible Study Fellowship International for 20 years.

Remembered for her loving and caring manner, she was never judgmental and saw goodness in every person and situation. She was a loving wife and mother but most of all a true friend to all who knew her. She was an angel!

A memorial service celebrating Beverly's life will be held at the Skidaway Island Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Skidaway Island Methodist Church.
