Beverly Ann Burton

Beverly Ann Burton, 80, of Lubbock, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Whisperwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, holding the hand of her beloved husband.
Beverly was born in Kingsville, Texas on September 11, 1944, to John and Margie Autry where her father was stationed at the Naval Air Auxiliary Station. She grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Here, she faithfully attended St. Edwards Catholic church and primary school. She graduated from Carlsbad High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She relocated to Lubbock following her marriage to her high school sweetheart, Lynn Burton.
Here, she devoted her life to her husband and three daughters. She was an animal enthusiast with a special affection for puppy dogs. She spent many years serving as a member of New Life Center church in Lubbock and participating in local school and community events at Lake Ransom Canyon where her children attended school at Roosevelt ISD. Later she became a proud member of the successful sales team at Zales Jewelers in the South Plains Mall. She was an accomplished needlework and ceramics craftsman when she wasn't busy caring for and playing with her grandchildren. Beverly's enthusiasm for life had a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Lynn Burton, her three daughters, Kim Burton-Dale, Melissa Danforth, and Julie Burtram, her 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside celebration of life will be held Monday, June 16th at 10 am at The City of Lubbock Cemetery for close friends and family.
