Beverly Sue (Jett) Cullins passed away in Spring, TX on September 20, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on March 31, 1932. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, F.M. Jett and May Newham Jett of Cushing, OK and her husband, Henry L. Cullins and son Steve L. Cullins. She is survived by her son Chris Cullins and Chris's wife, Janice, along with their sons, Travis Cullins and Joshua Cullins, his wife Laken and great-grandsons Price and Wells Cullins. Beverly met her husband Henry on a blind date in 1952 while visiting girlfriends in Norman, Oklahoma. At the time, she was attending Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) and he was attending Oklahoma University. They ran off to get married in Gainesville, TX in 1953.
She and Henry lived in Germany following his commission as an USAF lieutenant. Returning to college she elected to work to put her husband through Geology Graduate school at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK.
After graduation, they lived in some great and not-so-great towns and cities throughout the U.S. as he pursued his oil & gas career. They lived in Lamesa, TX, Casper, WY, Midland, Denver, New Orleans, Covington, LA and Cupertino, CA. They moved to Houston in 1981 and founded Christeve Oil Co, Inc. in 1983. In 1986 their son Chris joined them, and they later formed Cullins Energy LP and Cullins Resources, Inc.
Beverly loved tennis, bridge, dancing, and the friendships that resulted. Her dancing talents were exceptional, having taught Henry the art of dancing early in their marriage. They are and always will be dancing partners for eternity. She truly enjoyed people, which is why she was extremely successful in real estate in both Louisiana and California, winning many awards for Top Lister and Top Salesperson.
For many years she and Henry participated in Oilman's Tennis Tournaments in Lafayette, New Orleans, Midland, and Oklahoma City. The World Oilman's tennis tournament in Houston was the highlight of their tennis year. Together they brought home more than their share of awards. Through her steadfast love and devotion, she became the heart and foundation of her family. Her legacy of kindness, compassion and grace endures in every heart she touched.
Memorial Services are pending, but are tentatively planned for the week of October 13-17.
