Beverly June Lemmons

Mrs. Beverly June Harris Lemmons, 83, of Oxford, MS, passed from this Earth into her Lord's arms Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m., at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS.
Services will be: Visitation: Coleman Funeral Home Oxford, MS, Sunday January 8, 2023 from 2:00-4:00. Graveside service will be in Sharon, TN, Monday January 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
June was an angel on this Earth and now, has her wings. While her family and friends grieve losing her, we take great comfort that she is rejoicing in Heaven as she is finally reunited with her beloved daddy James Levi Harris, mother Annie Louise Thetford Harris, sister, Lynda Faye Harris Bailey, and her precious son, Michael Kevin Lemmons.
June is survived by her husband of 64 years Charles Bernie Lemmons; son, Billy Charles Lemmons (Karen); and daughters, Karen Renee Lemmons Lochemes and Deborah June Lemmons. She was "Mimi" to Annalise Lemmons, Andrew Lochemes, and Adam Lochemes (AC Dowd), and several fur baby grandchildren.
June was raised in Sharon, TN and moved to Memphis where she graduated from Humes High School. The family made Oxford, MS their home in 1972. June, became a crossing guard for the City of Oxford Police Department at Bramlett Elementary School. She worked a variety of retail jobs throughout the years. However, she found the perfect fit for her warm and welcoming personality at The University of Mississippi in the Department of Human Resources as the front desk receptionist. There, she became known to all staff and faculty as the smiling, friendly, helpful face of "HR." Where an employee might come in with a grievance or a grumpy disposition, June could soften them up with her patience and kindness. She never let them get her down. Even the most hardened faculty member would leave the office in a better mood just for having been greeted and assisted by June.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Shriner's Children's Hospital.
