Beverly Jean Miller

Beverly Jean Miller, age 77, of New Castle, PA, passed away late morning of Jan. 8, 2026, at her residence.

Born April 26, 1948, in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Kennedy) Borland.

On August 15, 1969, she married her beloved husband of 56 years, George W. Miller, Jr. who survives at home.

Beverly was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School in 1966 and Butler County Memorial School of Nursing in 1969. She worked over a 41-year period at Jameson Memorial Hospital.

Beverly was an active member of Center ECO Presbyterian Church where she taught youth Sunday school and was a youth group leader for many years. She was on the session at Center for many years and a member of the Adult Fellowship Class and Lois Morris Circle.

She loved the great outdoors and her canine companions throughout the years. She had been an associate member of Therapy Dog International and visited local nursing homes with her therapy dog, Mya. Beverly also competed in canine agility with dog teams Mya, Bella and then Millie.

Beverly enjoyed many active years of hiking, especially in Hell's Hollow, some kayaking and bike riding with her husband and soulmate George. Among her varied interests, she also enjoyed her many flowers and cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and their families.

Beverly was very thankful for the many blessings given to her by her Lord and Savior and His promise of eternal life.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, April (Cale) Mangold; one son, Luke Miller; two grandchildren, Paisley and Kai Mangold; a sister-in-law, Norma (Bob) Henry; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, Millie.

Along with her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Stewart and Elaine Mulneix and two brothers-in-law, Clark Mulneix and Tom Stewart.

The family would like to thank Hillman Cancer Center, Three Rivers Hospice and Dr. David Shober for their compassion and care for Beverly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A one-hour visitation prior to the funeral service will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13th at Center ECO Presbyterian Church, 1143 Center Church Rd., New Castle, with an 11:00 funeral service officiated by Rev. Randy Stringer.

Burial will be in Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Beverly to Center Church or a charity of donor's choice.
