BEVERLY RAE RESCH, age 85 of Auburn Township, passed away on August 19, 2025. She was born in Sharon, PA, on November 23, 1939. She graduated from Sharon High School in 1958, and spent the next 5 years in Youngstown, OH, working in the medical field. In 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, Edward George Resch. They lived in Syracuse, NY, for 5 years and eventually settled in Chagrin Falls, OH, where they raised their 2 children. Bev was a vibrant wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed bowling, bridge, shopping, “boogeying,” chocolate mocha frappes, summer boating on Chautauqua Lake, NY, family reunions in Cashiers, NC, and snow-birding in Miromar Lakes, FL. Bev was proceeded in death by her mother, Dora Louise Burckart (nee Sprow), and her father Louis Henry Burckart, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Donald Edward “Ted” Burckart (Dorothy) and her husband, Ed Resch. Also surviving are her 2 children Jennifer Resch Hofmann (Rich) and Edward F. Resch (Amy). She also has 6 grandchildren: Thaddeus Edward Resch (Morgan), Gwyneth Resch Randazzo (Joey), Katie Hofmann Eck (Tanner), Sarah Ashley Hofmann, Edward John Hofmann, and Tessa Grace Hofmann. She passed away peacefully in her sleep after suffering from dementia for over 5 years. Please pray for a cure for that horrible disease! Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
