Beverly Loraine Warren, age 84, passed away at her home in Aubrey, TX, surrounded by her family on October 7, 2023. She was born on September 19, 1939 to Clarence Hoy Slater and Naomi (Lilley) Slater.
Beverly graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1957. She went on to attend Baylor University and paused her education to marry and raise a family of 5 children. She earned her nursing degree at the age of 40 and spent the next 40 years doing what she loved, caring for others.
Beverly married Billy Warren on November 5, 1998. They enjoyed traveling, square dancing together, and helping build churches across the state of Texas with TBM Builders. They were active members of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed serving in the community by volunteering at the Hospice Shop of Nacogdoches, donating blood and crocheting countless baby blankets for Heartbeat Pregnancy Center of Nacogdoches, TX and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center of Plano, TX.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Warren, Her children Virgil Fields, Russell (Diann) Fields, Traci (Thomas) Bridgman, Mickey Heald, Marty (Larry) Felts, Her grandchildren Pamela Coddell, Jese Fields, Alisa Heald, Cori Covington, Kody Fields, Katie Bridgman and Slater Bridgman, and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Laird Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, TX. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:00am at Laird Funeral Home.
