Mr. Bill Boyd, 72, passed away on Tues. April 1, 2025, at his home in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. April 4, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 12pm on Fri. April 4, 2025, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Fannin Baptist Cemetery in Fannin, MS.
Mr. Boyd was born on June 1, 1952, in Ruston, LA to the late Joseph Walter Boyd and Edna Earl Puckett Boyd. He was a member of Fannin Baptist Church in Fannin, MS. Mr. Boyd loved spending time with his family and cooking for everyone. In his younger days he enjoyed coaching, fishing and hunting with his sons.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Becky Boyd; two sons, Randy Boyd and Buddy Boyd (April); four grandchildren, Bella Boyd, Melanie Boyd (David Huff), Madalyn Boyd and Barrett Boyd; brother, Joe Boyd Sr. (Myra); two nieces, Ann Culpepper (Joe), Nancey Chambers (Craig) and a nephew, Joe Boyd III (Michelle). Mr. Boyd is also preceded in death by his beloved son, Billy “BJ” Boyd Jr. and a sister, Janis Buckalew.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Bill Moore and his wife Caren for their love and support.
