Bill Davis - 72 Of Valdosta passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born on February 14, 1937 in Geneva County AL to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walford Davis. Mr. Davis was a diesel mechanic. He was member of the First Assembly of God Church in Valdosta, and loved reading his bible. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Wesley Davis, and his father-in-law, Curly Howard. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Davis of Valdosta, GA; 3 daughters & Sons-in-law, Brenda Hancock and Richard Garcia of Tampa, FL; Linda & William Stephenson, Valdosta, GA; Barbara & Randall Booth, Valdosta, GA; 4 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Bill & Sylvia Davis of Tampa, FL; Glen & Cari Davis of Thonotosassa, FL; Ricky & Tammy Davis of Plant City, FL; Frank Davis & Sonya Mayer of Hahira, GA; a sister & brother-in-law, Melba & James Gray of Jefferson, NC; a brother, Kenneth Davis of Dothan, AL; his mother –in-law, Betty Howard of Branford, FL; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 31, 2009 in the Valdosta chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor Bill Cotterill officiating. Burial will follow at Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the funeral home.
