Bill Roland, age 66, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Dimmitt.

Bill was born on February 20, 1959, in Palo Alto, California, to Robert Thomas and Marie Gabrielle (Masonville). At the age of ten, Bill and his family moved to Dimmitt, Texas.

Throughout his life, Bill resided in several Texas communities, including Earth and Dumas. Eventually, he returned to Earth, Texas, to be closer to his family, three years before he became ill. Bill was a jack of all trades; his experience includes working as a cowboy, handling electrical work, equine therapy, and truck driving; he transported cattle and drove for Jet Fuel. He loved horses and enjoyed roping and riding. Bill enjoyed spending time crafting items from leather. Bill had a great sense of humor; He was onery, loved to fight and tease his sisters, and play practical jokes on others.

Those left to cherish his memories are his three daughters Whitney Smith and husband Rusty of Lubbock, Texas, Tyler Roland of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Shayla Samarron and husband Frank of Earth, Texas; eight grandchildren, Miracle Samarron, Dorrian Samarron, Austin Bosman, Caleb Samarron, Abigael Bosman, Angel Bosman, Khailynn Smith, and Ashlynn Smith; great granddaughter Mara Escolona; sisters, Gay Jarvis and husband Chip of Tuson, Arizona, Dede Evans of Plains, Kansas, Tina Maurer and husband Stanley of Dimmitt, Texas, and Lynn Russell and husband Travis of Ft. Worth, Texas; and mother of his children Lacretia Roland of Earth, Texas.
