Billie was born January 1, 1946, in Kermit, Texas and passed away in the early morning hours of May 21, 2025, after a long illness. She worked as a nurse for many years. She always enjoyed taking care of others. Her love of animals and nature were extraordinary. She also enjoyed her time at the casino playing the slots. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mom always said, "The end of the trail is not the end, but a new beginning" and looked forward to her life with Christ and her loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Tina Haynie and husband Ray. Step-Daughter Teresa Montalvo, Granddaughters Shana Davis, Sara (Lyle) Muegge, Leslie (Hunter) Fincher, Damita Montalvo, and Olivia Walsh. Grandsons Todd McInroe, Kevin (Mariah) McInroe, Preston (Ashley) Montalvo. Great-Grandchildren Kenzie, Konnor, Iman, Hunter, Collins, Leighton, Trenton, Titus, Palmer, and Charlie. Sister Janice (Joe) Harris and extended family Paula (Tom) Gibbs, and Jessica Nickerson.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Scotty Teague, parents Jewel and H.M. Bailey, sister Shirley Wisdom and a still born brother. Michael McInroe, and Jose Montalvo.
The Family would like to thank Alpha Omega Hospice and Dr. Kevin Jones. Special thanks to Sara, Hailey, and Rikki for taking such good care of mom. Also, our Priest Father James for the prayers and blessings, and Hospice Chaplain David for prayers and encouragement.
As for my mom's wishes, she will be having a private service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to local animal shelter or charity of your choice.
Internment will be at Barton Chapel Cemetery.
