Billy Lewis Bray, age 80, of Okeechobee, Florida was born on September 11, 1944 and went to his Heavenly home on August 25, 2025.
During his time as a truck driver Billy successfully drove, accident-free, over 2,000,000 miles. Billy was a simple man with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family dearly and will be profoundly missed by everyone that knew him. Where most people hold materials to be important, Billy held his word to the highest standards, and his handshake was an assurance that what he had promised would be done.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Russell Bray and Maxine Elizabeth Hayes, and his infant sisters, Shirley Bray and Joan Bray.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bray; son, Brian (Renee) Bray; siblings, Betty Lou Buzzella and Roy Bray; special nephew, Dirk T. Myers; granddaughters, Alyssa McDonald and Deborah Bray; great grandchildren, Michael McDonald and Colton McDonald; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
The family received friends on Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home, 937 N Broad ST, Tazewell, Tennessee 37879. A graveside service followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
