Billy Wayne Brinkmeyer, 65, of Brenham passed away February 4, 2024. A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Burial will take place later that day at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Texas Veterans State Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
Billy was born on November 4, 1959 in Brenham, TX to Willie and Martha (Klussman) Brinkmeyer. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. He graduated from Brenham High School and served in the Army. On June 6, 1996 he was united in marriage to Leslie Freeman.
He loved horses, fishing and truck driving. He dearly loved all of his family and friends. He was always very honest, trusted in the Lord and lived by the code of John Wayne.
Those left to cherish Billy's memory are his wife, Leslie; son and daughter-in-law, William Joshua Lee Jordan and wife, Felicia Dreher Jordan of Thomasville, NC; son Christopher Cody Reese Jordan of Brenham, Tx. Grandchildren, Anthony Lee Dreher Jordan, William Lee Dreher Jordan of Thomasville, NC and Lacey Lynn Jordan of Brenham, TX. Step-mother, Margret Brinkmeyer and sister, Willia Mae Hertel both of Brenham. Nephews and wives, Todd and Darlene Hertel and Scott and Heather Brinkmeyer; Niece and husband, Darla and Ricky Pourchot; niece, Cherish Gandy and nephew, Jeremy McAnally also several great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Raymond Brinkmeyer; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Dwees; sister, Joyce McAnally; brother-in-law, Glenwood Hertel.
Pallbearers are Darrell Kelley, Paige Damerau, Michael Parker, Harold Jones, Keith Eckermann and Trevor Hertel. Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Thorton, Todd Hertel, Scott Brinkmeyer and Michael Brister.
