Billy Carroll Gray

Billy C. Gray, age 84, passed away on December 15th, 2024 in Covington, TN. He was born in Ripley, TN to Jessie Currie Gray and Verna Mae Gray on July 8th, 1940. He was a devoted son, uncle, father, husband, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Roy Gray, their son; Terry Alan Gray, three sisters; Dorothy McClinton, Phyllis Jane Hayden, Ruth McClinton, one grandson; Winston Angus Gray, one great grandson; Jacob Priesmeyer, and granddaughter Kaylen Branson. He is survived by his daughter, Billie Ann Gray, two sons; Kerry Wayne Gray (Rebecca), John Currie Gray (Jessica), his sister Janette Ashford (Mike), seven grandchildren; Amy Priesmeyer (Richard), Jamie Russell (Daniel), Jordan Gray (Erica), Landon Gray, Hannah Gray, Kat Stallings (Patrick), and Colton McGough (Nickey), and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and dear friends. He was a skilled auto-diesel mechanic and could fix anything. His hobbies included genealogy, hunting, fishing, and watching old westerns.He was also a good cook and would often feed all the neighborhood kids on New Years Day. He was generous and kind. His door was always open if you needed conversation, a bed to rest, a warm meal, a hug, or a prayer. He was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints, attending the Millington ward. Billy loved the Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held at Maley Yarbrough Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 19th, 2024 at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (9604 US Highway 51 North, Millington, TN 38053), family will begin to receive guest at 10:00am. Burial will follow at RH Munford.
