Keith Michael Gray

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith Michael Gray, who left us unexpectedly on October 10, 2025, at the age of 49. Michael, as he preferred to be called, was born on January 4,1976, in Hamburg, Germany. He is survived by his two cherished sons, Kanye Roberts-Gray and Cole Gray, beloved mother, Yvonne Gray, sister, Patricia Velasquez, her husband, David, and sister, Rebecca Shultz; Michael's nephew, Jakob, and niece, Zoe.
Michael was a faithful follower of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, devoted father, loving son, caring brother, loyal coworker, and committed churchman. His attention to detail, servant's heart, unwavering loyalty, and generosity of spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Michael had a deep love for God, the church, and family, always putting others first while working tirelessly to create lasting memories. His bond with Kanye and Cole was one of deep affection and commitment. They will forever carry his love and words of wisdom with them.
Michael will also be remembered for his warm-heartedness and passion for serving others, soccer, photography, audio-visual work, and Germany. He had a way of bringing peace and warmth in any room he walked into and was known for his ability to create environments for relationships to happen even in the toughest circumstances.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Germaine Foerst, and his father, Wesley W Gray. Any man can father a child, but not everyone can be a dad. Michael was a dad just as Wes was to him. Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of his mother, Yvonne, his sisters, Patricia, Rebecca and their families, his sons, Kanye and Cole, and his extended family and friends who were fortunate enough to have known him.
A funeral service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5:30 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville, IN. Visitation will begin at 3:30 pm with the service to follow.
The family kindly requests donations be made to Hoosier Hills Food Bank in Michael's honor.
