Billy Nicholson A.K.A Pecos Bill was born in Chicago, Illinois in November 14,1949 to the late Edward Nicholson and Garris Bennett. His family moved to Columbus, Ohio when he was 13 years old. He attended Franklin junior high school and Columbus East High School where he graduated in 1969.
Billy retired from John Glenn Airport (formerly known as Port Columbus). After retirement, his love for children and helping his community led him to seek further employment for Columbus Recreation and Parks Department where he worked for 7 years.
