Billy R. “Pete” Daugherty, 91, of Campbellsville, died after Noon on Tuesday, February 20th, 2026, in Avon, IN.
Son of the late Anthan and Laura Marlow Daugherty, he was born April 20, 1934, in Campbell County, TN.
He professed faith in Christ, served as Deacon of Indian Heights Baptist Church and most recently was a member of Lebanon Church of Christ.
He was a retired employee of Continental Steel and Mitre Construction, both of Kokomo, IN. He was also a member of the Taylor County Sheriffs Department, having served on the Lake Patrol, Transportation and as Bailiff.
He was married to Joyce Ann Shipp, on August 20th, 1960. She preceded him in death, January 10th, 2010.
He later married Barbara Sandusky, on August 21, 2010. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2019.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Steve and Pennye Parsons of Avon, Andy and Toni Brock of Kokomo, Teresa and Ron Morgan of Campbellsville and son and daughter-in-law Shannon and Teresa Sandusky of Shepherdsville; five grandchildren: Paul Parsons of Greenwood, IN, Whitney Meyer and her husband, Craig of Evansville, IN, Lauren Davis and her husband Brian of Kokomo, Bradley Parsons and his wife, Elizabeth of Greenwood, and Adam Brock and his wife Kinsey, of Kokomo; eight great-grandchildren; Maddie, Caroline, Grant, Leilani, A.J., Fallynn, Elena, and Isaac; nine step -grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Elmo, Garrett, Oliver “Buck”, Wilsie Jo “Toots”, Jane, and Betty “Corky”; his sister-in-law Peggy.
He was also preceded in death by stepson Gerry Sandusky of Madison, IN and granddaughter Casey Schaeffer of Greensburg.
