SUMMITVILLE, IN – Billy Joe Yeagy, 89, entered peace and rest on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Vita of Marion following a brief illness.

Billy was born on November 5, 1935, in Tipton to Emery and Mary Ann (Molder) Yeagy and has lived in Summitville for most of his lifetime. He was a graduate of Summitville High School-Class of 1953. Billy served his country in the United State Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1957. On June 7, 1958, he married the love of his life, Audrey June Coleman, who survives. Billy retired from Fisher Body in Marion in 1994 after 32 years of employment. Following retirement, Billy worked on the Herb Harrold farm for several years. He enjoyed good polka music and followed NBA basketball. Billy served on the Summitville-Van Buren Township Fire Department for 50 years.

Daughter-Michelle (Tim) Cragun of Gas City

2 Sons-Randy (Linda) Yeagy and James (Tonya) Yeagy all of Fairmount

He was preceded in death by his parents, a Great-Granddaughter-Kamdyn Cragun, Siblings-Bradley Yeagy, Blaine Yeagy, Bruce Yeagy, Barbara Saubert, Beverly Meska, Bob Yeagy

Services honoring Billy's life and legacy will take place at 2 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville, IN 46070. Pastor Danny Decker will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery, Summitville. The Yeagy family will receive friends after 12 Noon on Friday prior to the service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Kamdyn's Beehive at [email protected] or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
