Blake Smith Obituary
Born March 15, 1977, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Larry Jerome Smith and the late Nancy Carolyn Ashley Smith.
Blake was a tenured art professor at North Greenville University for over 20 years and loved his job. He wanted every one of his students to be a success. He was also an extremely talented artist with artwork displayed throughout the world including Beijing, China. He was a pottery master and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his father, Larry Smith; and brother, Warren Ashley Smith (Cassy Lynn).
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lynley Smith.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E Calhoun St, Anderson, SC 29621.
