On November 2nd, 2025, Blake Marshall Stiteler, 29, passed peacefully and suddenly in his home in
Houston, Texas. Blake was born in College Station, TX, on September 18, 1996.
Blake was raised in
Houston, TX, by his beloved parents Craig and Leslie Stiteler, alongside his older brother, Dylan Stiteler.
As a young boy, he enjoyed gymnastics and was thrilled to be a part of Destination Imagination as a lead narrator and actor. Destination Imagination is a nationwide creative problem-solving competition. He was also a champion in music memory competitions.
Initially dropping out of high school, Blake earned his GED and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Houston, entering as a sophomore having done many AP classes in high school.
Throughout college, Blake worked in the restaurant industry as a server at the Hobbit Café. He cherished his time there, and his confidence grew as he continued to blossom into the wonderful young man he became. Upon graduation, Blake launched his career in the finance world, spending the majority of his time at Oppenheimer and Invesco. Blake loved finance and was so proud to be our in-house "family financial advisor."
Blake was such a smart young man, and his incredible intelligence became visible at a very young age. By the age of six, Blake had taught himself to play piano. Blake was a lovely pianist and loved filling the room with his beautiful music at family gatherings. He could play pop covers to Moonlight Sonata to John Legend's greatest hits. By the age of fifteen, he had taught himself fluent Spanish. He felt he could express himself better in Spanish. He could communicate with any Spanish-speaking person with aplomb-even telling jokes. Spanish opened a new side of him-he spoke it fluently, effortlessly, and always with humor, bringing smiles to everyone he talked with. He also had a passion for animals and was a proud and loving owner of two dogs, Fiona and Dakota. His family knew him as the "dog whisperer."
He was always a curious person, but in his late 20s, Blake intentionally started to open into what life had to offer-growing in confidence and exploring new hobbies. He enjoyed playing pickleball with his brother and was even working to become a pool shark.
Those who knew Blake will remember him for his Heartwarming Smile, his Endless Intelligence, and his Beautiful Music.
Blake is preceded in death by his grandparents Jerry Stiteler, Barbara Pearson, Anne Weyrauch, and Jim Brigham.
Blake is survived by his parents Craig and Leslie Stiteler, his older brother Dylan Stiteler, his grandparents Arnold and Judy LeUnes and Karen Bonner; his uncles Chay LeUnes, Lyndon LeUnes, and Derek Bonner; his aunts Natalie Allen, Amy Norland, Katie Cryer, Shelly Sewell, Laura Rosell, and Elena Wohl; and many other extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
