Mr. Robert "Bob" Larry Cato, age 74, of Molena, passed away November 7, 2021, at his home. Bob was born on June 11, 1947, son of the late Waymond Cato and Lucille Sosby Cato. He worked for MARTA for 30 years before retiring. He was part-owner of Bobrick Enterprises LLC, a rental property management business. Bob was a devoted member and Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Thomaston Ward. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building model cars and railroads and being with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marcia Cato and infant son Christopher Cato.
He is survived by his daughter: Katie Gordon (Stephen Whaley) of Molena; grandchildren: Monica Gordon, George Gordon and Kyle Kapp; brother: Steve Cato of Meansville; nephew Don Cato (Kim) of Molena; nieces Skylar Cato and Hayden Cato; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. A private burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bob..
