Bob Henry Mayo, Jr. age 77, and a resident of Midland, TX passed away on October 19, 2023.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Eastern Cemetery in Forest, MS.
Bob was born to Bob Henry Mayo and Dale King Mayo on July 22, 1946. After the death of his mother, Dale, Bob was blessed to have a new mother come into his life when his father married Mary Lee Robertson.
Bob was a member of the National Guard while attending East Central Community College. Bob loved his southern gospel music and old hymns. He loved to fish, hunt, and plant a garden. Whatever he put his hand to he did with excellence. He loved the Lord, loved people, and served them well. He always left a place better than it was when he got there. You have touched many hearts Bob-O, and you are greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Susanne Mayo, son David Mayo and wife Melissa, brother Jeffrey Mayo and wife Karen, sister Oleta Thomas and husband, David, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Dale, his father Dr. Bob Mayo and mother Mary Lee Mayo, and his son Michael Mayo.
