Robert S. Quick
of Nichols
Robert S. "Bob" Quick, aged 90, of Nichols, passed away in his sleep at his home on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born on November 29, 1934, in Halsey Valley, NY, Bob was the son of the late John and Margaret Quick.
He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Quick, his son, John Robert Quick; his grandson, Ryan; and his great-granddaughter, Ruby. Bob also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and their families, and his faithful dog Misty. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jeffery; his grandson, Casey and his brother, Dean.
Bob was a proud graduate of Spencer VanEtten High School. He carried the skills and values he gained there throughout his life. His career as a Pattern Maker at the Owego Foundry was marked by meticulous craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. Bob also lent his talents to various manufacturing companies in Endicott.
Outside of work, Bob's passion for the great outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper, finding solace and excitement in nature's bounty. His love for archery was not just a hobby but a testament to his patience and precision. Bob's happiest moments were those spent in the tranquility of the woods or by the water, where he felt most at home.
Abiding with his wishes, there will be no services. Bob will be laid to rest by his son in the Nichols Cemetery.
