Sunbury - David C. Weaver, 85 of Market Street passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born January 10, 1940 in Spencer, WV a son of the late Chuck D. and Opal E. (Reynolds) Weaver. On November 27, 1959 he married the former Patricia Ann Nicholson who survives.
Dave was a 1958 graduate of Spencer High School and later attended classes at Bloomsburg University.
He retired after many years of service as a foreman from National Gypsum Corp.
Mr. Weaver served on the Juvenile Court Advisory Board of Northumberland County and on the Project 10/4 Board.
He was a talented artist making beautiful pen & ink renderings.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Dave is survived by; two daughters, Debbie A. Weaver and her significant other, Keith Patton of Northumberland, Kathy J. Cantrell and husband Donald of Springfield, VA, two sons, David C. Weaver II and his wife, Erin of Hartford, TN, Allen M. Weaver of Sunbury, two grandchildren, Donald and Cassidy Cantrell and sister, Barbara Curry of Parkersburg, WV.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Richard Curry.
At Dave's request there will be no funeral services.
