Arthur Dean Kindred II was born June 19, 1945, to the union of Arthur and Flora Kindred in Nyack, New York. While he was still very young, the family moved to Columbus, Georgia which became his beloved hometown. Throughout his life, Arthur would travel there annually, remaining close to family and supporting special school events.
Arthur received his formal education attending Spencer High School from K-12. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served at several overseas military bases from 1964 until 1969, when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sargent. Upon leaving the U.S. Air Force, Arthur relocated to Rochester, New York, and was employed by Sears, Roebuck, and Company. With his charismatic personality and love of meeting and talking with people, Arthur was a top salesman for the
company for over 25 years. In 1969, Arthur met the love of his life and long-time companion, Patricia, celebrating 54 years together. From their union, they have two children, Izora and Arthur III.
Arthur accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 1972 at Central Church of Christ in Rochester, New York. In 1988, he was ordained as a Deacon at Central Church of Christ, and in 1999, placed his membership with North Greece Road Church of Christ, where he continued to be a faithful member, serving and visiting the sick and shut-in, demonstrating his unwavering love for the Lord.
Arthur Kindred II was truly blessed and departed this life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Arthur and Flora Kindred, and a sister, Evelyn Hollis. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Patricia Demary of Camden, South Carolina; daughter, Izora (Michael) Trott; son, Arthur Dean Kindred III, both of Rochester, New York; grandchildren, K'Shawn Kindred and Michayla Trott; one brother, Michael (Celi) Kindred of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Rebecca Dewberry of Columbus, Georgia and Izora Sims of Kingwood, Texas, and a host of other loving relatives, church family, and friends.
