Roberta Ann Davies, affectionately known as Bobbi, passed away peacefully at the age of 73, with her children by her side. Born on June 29, 1950, in
Cleveland, OH, her vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
Her life was characterized by a desire to connect with others. As a bus driver for Avon Lake City Schools, she loved interacting with the children, bringing just as much joy to them as they did to her. Ultimately, she retired after 20 years of service, to spend more time with her family. Bobbi's relationship with her grandchildren was also a particular source of happiness. She cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Her journey through life was marked by love and devotion, a path she walked hand in hand with her beloved husband, Roger, until his passing. Together they enjoyed traveling to various historic destinations throughout the country. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in her garden. She loved watching and feeding the birds and photographing plants and butterflies. Bobbi also loved her cats, caring for many felines throughout her lifetime. Additionally, Bobbi was actively involved in her community, volunteering at her church, charities, and other local functions.
At the heart of Bobbi's world was her family. Her legacy continues through her loving children David Horton and Michael (Joanne) Horton; sisters Peggy (Jim) McCoy, Kris (Chris) Burns, and Debi (Ron) Loebich, brother Robert (Jayne) Kirchner, brother-in-law Joseph Scarpelli; and cherished grandchildren Lukas, Mae and William. She is preceded in death by her husband Roger Davies, parents Otto & Marge Kirchner, and sister Diane Scarpelli.
Bobbi's social nature was legendary; she had the rare gift of making every conversation feel significant and every individual feel seen. Her ability to give without expectation and to support others without hesitation defined her as a person. Bobbi's selflessness was her gift to the world, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
