Bobbie Barnes Obituary

Ms. Bobbie Jean Kemp was born on Sunday, March 19, 1961, to her parents, Mae Ollie Williams and Robert Kemp in Dublin, Georgia. She graduated from the West Laurens High School. She married in 1980 and from that union, she had two children. Later, she received her associate's degree in business in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a secretary for many years. In the early 1990s, she participated in a protest march effort to rename Glenwood Avenue as "Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive".
On Sunday, July 9, 2023, she gained her heavenly wings. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Williams, and her brother, Eddie Kemp.
She is survived by her daughter, Banika Barnes of Lithonia, Georgia, loving grandchildren, Jayveon Palmore, Elquinton Denson, Jeremirah Denson, bonus grandchild, Quintavious "Tae" Denson, son Gaurean (Carrie) Barnes of Lithonia, Georgia, and grandchildren, Gionni Barnes and Christiana Barnes, bonus son, Giavall Barnes, parents, Mae Ollie Williams and Robert Kemp of Dublin, Georgia, siblings, Gloria Smith, Freddie Kemp, Ricky Kemp, and Wanda (Lonzie) Kemp, all of Dublin, and A. W. Haynes of Warner Robins, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
