Bobbie Sue Males LaGrone (1927-2025)
Bobbie Sue Males LaGrone finally caught the train she always talked about – and we're pretty sure she's already swapped stories with some angels, loved on a few heavenly pets, and is enjoying a big family reunion in Heaven.
Born July 2, 1927, Bobbie Sue lived 98 years full of faith, family, and enough stories to fill a library (and a few Sunday dinners). She loved the Lord with her whole heart, never missed a chance to pray, and could make even the simplest memory sound like a cherished tale passed down for generations.
Her kindness, faith, and joy for like were constants in a world that's always changing – and her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched. Bobbie Sue was known for her generous heart, warm smile, and her favorite saying: Every day above the green grass is a good day." She lived those words fully, finding joy in the little things – the laughter of family around the table or recalling her favorite childhood stories. She was the last of her generation on the Males and the LaGrone families, all of whom she loved and missed.
Always a little cold-natured, Bobbie Sue was the first to reach for a blanket, even on a warm day, but her heart was forever warm, especially when surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
To know Bobbie Sue was to know genuine kindness, deep faith, and the kind of quiet wisdom that comes from a life well lived. She reminded us that joy is found in simplicity, and that love – given freely and often – is the greatest legacy of all.
Though she is no longer with us, her faith, laughter, and favorite sayings will live on. Every day above green grass will always remind us of her.
