BOBBIE TRULL SMITH

Bobbie Sue Trull Smith, age 89, a lovely and dear lady, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022.

A lifelong resident of Haywood County, Bobbie was born July 7, 1933 to the late Frank Trull and the late Faye Galloway Trull. Bobbie grew up in the Cruso Community of Canton, and was a graduate of Pisgah High School where she was blessed with many friendships that have remained an important part of her life. She had been employed with American Enka Corporation and was also a dedicated homemaker. Bobbie's days were filled with cooking special homemade dishes for her family, gardening, and canning during the summer season, spending time outdoors, and hiking among the mountains that she loved. Attending church and singing in the choir brought her great joy and Bobbie truly loved talking and socializing with her friends. Bobbie coached basketball at Bethel Elementary School and Bethel Middle (Junior High) School. She also was an avid reader and her love for all animals was very evident throughout her life. Mrs. Smith's faith was an important part of her life, and she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Bobbie loved her family deeply and every moment that she shared with each of them was special. Bobbie Sue Trull Smith had a beautiful life full of love and happiness. She was very loved and will be missed greatly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Doug Greene; grandson, Jared Greene; and her former husband and father of her children, Charles Greene.

Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Blythe of Waynesville, and Kathy Smith of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Zachary Suttle of Waynesville, Keenan Blythe of Canton, Christy Melton of Rock Hill, SC, Jennifer Osborne of Rock Hill, SC, Jessica Smith of Rock Hill, SC, Chuck Greene of Waynesville, Joshua Greene of Savannah, GA, as well as many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly and her former husband, Donald Smith.

The funeral service to honor Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2022 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Lafaine Deaver will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Cruso United Methodist Church Cemetery.
