Bobby Ray Chandler

Bobby Chandler, 86, of Anderson, passed away on July 17, 2025, in Anderson, IN. He was born on May 9, 1939, in Raleigh, West Virginia, the son of Taylor Chandler and Cleo Virginia (Stines) Chandler-Carr, and stepfather, Joe Carr. Bobby attended Anderson Community Schools. He had enlisted in the United States Army in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960 in the post-Korea and pre-Vietnam War era. He retired from the Union Plumbers & Pipe Fitters after several years, having served the Union Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union on Scatterfield Rd. He enjoyed working on his Corvettes and treasured the times he could be with his family and friends in his man-cave, also known as his garage, and talk about all things automotive. He was a member of the Union Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union. Bobby is survived by his children, son, Toby Chandler, daughter, Cathy Chandler; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father. Cremation has been chosen with cremated remains to be scattered at his favorite place in Kentucky.
